TVS Akula 310 Concept
TVS has shown the concept that we have
all been waiting for. The BMW based motorcycle has been finally revelead in the
TVS avatar. It turns out it will the first motorcycle TVS motors that is made
in conjunction with BMW that will hit the showrooms later this year too. This
is the first motorcycle from TVS that will have a full fairing. The Hosur based
manufacturer is calling it the Akula 310.
What is the most attractive part of the
motorcycle is the front end. The bike looks great in person and is the most
gothic and stunning looking motorcycles of all time in the concept version. The
Kulan is entirely made of carbon fibre from front to rear. Something that is
outright stunning and looks extremely purposeful. The side panels and the
engine belloy cowl are one single piece. The large fuel tank is the other
highlight of the motorcycle as it sticks out on the top and is almost square in
size. Other things which are new to this machine is a vertically stacked
instrument cluster which reminds us the KTM’ s of the past. The tail at the
rear is really high and is raised and houses a special mount to hang the TVS
Racing made exhaust which more-o-less looks like an Akrapovic unit.
Mechanically, we see the tubular frame
seen on the BMW G310R. The mechanicals are also key highlight and given the
fact the concept model has similar traits as the production model when it comes
to TVS. We are delighted to see upside down forks and petal discs on both ends
along with ABS which the donor bike also has. Overall, the mechanicals, the
engine and suspension on both are going to remain similar when it comes to the
TVS bike which it takes from BMW. Expect class leading dynamics, engine
responsiveness along with safety and fun to ride charactersitc filled to the
brim.
