2016 Volkswagen Polo and Vento (India)
Volkswagen has yet again updated the
Polo and Vento siblings with added new features to make it truly loaded with
tech. This is the second time the German car maker has updated the car in a bid
to keep it competitive in the market and keep away some of the wrong attention
it has been getting in the form of the Dieselgate scam. The 2016 Volkswagen
Polo and Vento get new features like a touchscreen infotainment system with
Mirror Link Connectivity and Phone Book and SMS viewer, rain sensing wipers and
auto dimming IRVM.
On this occasion, Mr. Michael Mayer,
Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “Vento and Polo have been among
our best-selling carlines since their inception in the Indian market and I am
delighted to announce the introduction of these additional features. Providing
a further boost to safety, the rain sensor and auto-dimming IRVM features
allows the occupant to drive with ease and convenience. We are optimistic of
continuing to raise the bar through our brand new offerings, and further expand
the growing Volkswagen family in India.”
Prices for the updated Polo start at Rs.
5.33 lakhs and go up to Rs. 8.90 lakhs, while the updated Vento has been priced
between Rs. 7.85 lakhs and Rs. 12.13 lakhs (All prices Ex-showroom, Delhi).
Volkswagen India is getting ready for an all new launch at the 2016 Delhi Auto
Expo, which is that of its subcompact sedan Ameo. The car is expected to start
at a price of Rs. 5.99 lakhs and set new benchmarks in the sub 4-metre sedan
category. It will be powered by a pair of petrol and diesel powerplants which
will be shared with the Polo hatchback.
