Honda Navi
Honda has forayed into a new segment
with the Navi, which is a scooter-bike crossover. Honda claims that it is a fun
to ride vehicle which looks rather odd.
The Navi is powered by a 110 cc Honda
engine producing 5.84 kW of power at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of torque at 5,500
rpm. It is mated to an automatic (V-matic) transmission. The bike, which
measures 1,805 mm in length and ground clearance of 156 mm, weighs in at 101
kgs and has a top speed of 81 km/h. It has a 3.8 litre fuel tank and stopping
power is provided by two 130 mm drum brakes. It rides on tubless tyres.
The engine comes with Honda Eco
Technology (HET) which improves mileage without compromising on power. Ride
comfort is improved by telescopic front suspension and, what Honda says, is a
good design.
The Navi is available in 5 different
colours: Red, White, Black, Green and Orange. Honda has priced this interesting
new crossover at INR 39,500. It's to be seen how the Indian
motorcycle enthusiasts react to this new segment.
