2018 Audi RS6 & RS6 Avant
If Audi's Prologue concept truly is a
map of things to come, then we could be in for a styling treat with next year's
all-new A6 sedan and Avant.
We already know that they've put
elements from the next-gen A6, A7 and A8 into the Prologue, as design chief Marc Lichte stated last year in an interview
with a British magazine.
They depict both the 4-door as well
as the Estate (Avant) model, and whether we like them or not, there's no
denying the presence of Prologue-borrowed design elements, such as the
single-frame grille and the angular headlights.
The rear of the Avant does kind of
remind us of the Renault Talisman Estate, but that's only because the taillight
design philosophy is rather similar.
Powertrain-wise, as of right now, your
guess is as good as ours, though surely it will pack more of a punch than even
the current top-spec RS6 Avant Performance edition, which is good for 605 PS
and 750 Nm of torque during overboost.
This allows for a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.7 seconds, which in turn will probably not stand the test of
time for too long, since new-gen RS-cars always take steps forward in terms of
performance, compared to the models they leave behind.
