Porsche Macan 2.0-Liter


The new entry model of the Macan uses a 2-liter, direct-injected, petrol unit, which operates with up to two bar of boost pressure, producing 252 PS from 5,000 to 6,800 rpm and 370 Nm of torque between 1,600 and 4,500 rpm.

Connected to a standard 7-speed PDK dual-clutch, like the existing versions, it needs 6.7 seconds to sprint from 0-100 km/h and 6.5 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono-Package, while top speed stands at 229 km/h. According to the NEDC, depending on the wheelw and tire combo, the average consumption is 7.4 lt/100 km to 7.2 lt/100 km (31.79-32.67 mpg US).


Porsche promises "exceptionally sporty driving dynamics" and states that the Traction Management active all-wheel drive system works with the "agile suspension and precise steering". The air suspension system is available at an extra cost on the 1,770 kg Macan, the lightest SUV ever made by Porsche.

The extensive range of standard equipment includes side window trim strips in black, black brake calipers, 18-inch wheels and two single tailpipes made of brushed stainless steel. In the cabin, many of its standard features are the same as in the "S" models, such as comfort seats with 8-way electric adjustment on the driver's side, Alcantara middle seat panels, PCM (Porsche Communication Management) in its latest-gen, Lane Departure Warning and powered tailgate.


The company offers the 2.0-liter Macan from € 55,669 (US$ 61,345)in Germany, tax included. It's already available to order, with first deliveries scheduled for June.
