Volvo S60 Cross Country
The Volvo S60 Cross Country has been
launched in India at a price of 38.9 lakhs. It is a sedan tweaked for rough-road capabilities with the ground
clearance jacked-up to 201 mm and offers All-Wheel Drive system as standard.
The Volvo S60 CC debuted at the 2015
North American International Auto Show (2015 Detroit Auto Show). It is powered
by Volvo’s five-cylinder 2.4-liter diesel powertrain that offers 190 hp of
maximum power and 420 Nm of peak torque. The AWD is equipped with DSTC (Dynamic
Stability and Traction Control) and Advanced Stability Control. The S60 CC is
based on the same platform as the S60 sedan. The chassis is raised by 65 mm to
achieve the SUV-like ground clearance of 201 mm.
The sedan-cross country features laser
assisted automatic braking that now functions at speeds upto 50 km/h, EBD, EBA,
Hill Descent Control and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The security features
include basic alarm with Interior Movement Sensor (IMS), Personal Car
Communicator with Keyless Drive, Home Safe Lighting, and Water Repellent Front
Side Windows.
The support systems offered on the S60
CC include cruise control, reverse parking camera, Hill Start Assist, tilt and
reach adjustable steering wheel, rain sensor, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
and Navigation.
The safety systems offered are 2 step
airbag (driver and passenger side), SIPS airbags and inflatable curtains,
whiplash protection (front seats), Pyrotechnical Pretensioners (front/rear all
positions), and Isofix on outer position rear seats.
The Volvo S60 CC is offered in five
colours : Rich Java, Osmium Grey, Crystal White, Bright Silver and Onyx Black.
