BAIC Supercar concept
The Beijing Motor Show is right around
the corner it and appears the Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC)
wants to make a big splash at this year's event as the company's supercar
concept has leaked to the web.
Looking sleek and stylish, the unnamed
concept has a bold design which is sure to draw plenty of attention. Details haven't been released but the
pictures show the model has a sporty front fascia, a ventilated hood, and aggressive
side skirts. Moving further back,
there's a rakish windscreen, lightweight wheels, and scissor doors with
flush-mounted handles. Other highlights
include a sporty roofline, slender taillights, and a relatively small rear
spoiler.
Citing reports out of China, Autocar
says the concept will have an electric powertrain that will enable the car to
accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in less than three seconds before hitting a
top speed of 162 mph. Rumors also
suggest the concept will have a range of up to 186 miles on a single charge.
Little else is known about the car but
it will reportedly have three different driving modes including Economy,
Comfort, and Race. Not much is known
about the modes but each has its own ground clearance which ranges from 4.7
inches in Economy mode to 3.1 inches in Race mode.
