Ferrari 488 GTB by VOS
Ferrari opened new doors with its
twin-turbocharged 488GTB model, especially on the tuner front. The new turbocharged engines
are simply easier to modify, and it’s all a matter of time until we see
obscenely powerful 488 GTBs everywhere. For instance, German tuning company VOS
already has a head start on the matter.
The firm’s name is an acronym
representing Vision of Speed, and according to its managing director, Michael
Keller, its philosophy revolves around crafting and tailoring bespoke
aftermarket products, without spoiling the base car’s character.
The VOS isn’t shy about pumping
the 488 GTB’s stock 3.9-litre bi-turbo V8 to outrageous power outputs, making
it develop using the stage 3 performance increase – no less than 900 PS and a brute 1233 Nm of torque.
But if raw power is not your sweet spot,
you’ll be happy to learn that VOS also offers a 750 PS and 1098 Nm of torque variant, and an 830 PS and 1166 Nm of
torque option. All this power translates into an aggressive
acceleration according to VOS, albeit the tuner didn’t offer additional
performance figures.
On the visual side, the car received a
carbon-outfit, composed of front and side sills, a multi-part, diffuser, mirror
caps and tailored intake, nothing too outrageous that would indicate the
potency under the hood, although the vehicle’s contrasting carbon fiber inserts
and dynamic stance could be a giveaway.
A set of 21-inch Loma wheels wrapped in
225/35 - 325/25 tires are responsible for putting the power on the asphalt,
offering the 488 GTB an aggressive stance in the process.
