Tata Tiago

Tata Motors has launched the all new Tata Tiago for sale in India. It is available with two powertrain options spread across five grades.

Tata newest compact hatchback measures 3,746 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width, 1,535 mm in height and 2,400 mm in wheelbase. The exterior styling is influenced by the latest IMPACT design language, featuring bug-eyed headlamps, LED turn indicators embedded on side mirrors, 14-inch twin five-spoke alloy wheels, wraparound tail lamps and a roof spoiler.

The interior is finished in a dual tone black and beige color combination with black fabric seat upholstery, optional body-colored trim around the side HVAC vents and piano black trim on the center console. It features Tata’s ConnectNext Infotainment system that has been exclusively developed by HARMAN, with an 8-speaker audio system, and can play files through USB and Aux-In, apart from radio and CD functions. Dual airbags and driver’s seat height adjustment are standard in the XZ grade, but optional in the XE, XM and XT.

The Tiago is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant is powered by an all new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron engine that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm, while the diesel-powered Tiago packs a 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq engine that develops 70 PS and 140 Nm.

The only transmission option in both models is a 5-speed manual gearbox, and is equipped with Multi-Drive mode. The petrol and diesel variants are capable of averaging an ARAI-certified fuel mileage of 23.84 km/L and 27.28 km/L, respectively.
