Cadillac ATS Luxury Sport Edition
(Japan)
Born in Detroit, trained at Nurburgring
and offered exclusively in Japan, this is Cadillac’s latest limited model
called “Luxury Sport Edition”.
It looks like BMW isn’t the only car
maker interested in offering special editions in the Land of the Rising Sun, as
Cadillac announced an exclusive ATS model dedicated for the Japanese market.
Built to tackle the likes of the German
trio, Caddie’s four-door, five-passenger compact luxury model appeals to the
customer looking for a sports sedan, especially as this limited edition variant
comes with a set of 19-inch V-spoke aluminum wheels wrapped in 225/35 R19 at
the front and 255/30 R19 at the back, Pirelli P Zero tires. Despite their size,
these impressive rims reduce unsprung weight and shelter a big set of Brembo
brakes.
Cadillac also provides a sports
suspension setup to go with the vehicle’s sporty nature, highlighted by the
2.0-litre, 272 hp and 400 Nm of torque, turbocharged four-banger.
The ATS will be available only in two
color choices (Sable Black, and Crystal White), and it will cost ¥ 5,290,000.
That’s exactly US$ 49,809 at the current exchange rates.
