Mercedes-AMG GT by Lorinser
Merc's current top sports car is surely
not wanting for power, but Lorinser has squeezed a considerable amount of extra
oomph from its twin-turbo V8.
Available for the AMG GT and AMG GT S,
the performance module pumps out an additional 85 PS and 100 Nm of torque on top of the stock range-topper, raising the output to 595 PS and 750 Nm of torque in both versions.
The extra punch has dropped the zero to
100 km/h sprint time by 0.1 seconds to 3.6 sec; naught to 200 km/h takes 10.2 seconds and hitting the 300 km/h mark just 27.3
seconds.
Lorinser charges a fairly reasonable
€ 3,650 (US$ 4,145) for the upgrade. Making sure that the Mercedes-AMG GT rides in
style is a new set of 20-/21-inch front/rear RSK 8 light-alloy, three-pieced
forged wheels, with a seven-spoke design, available in black or gold, but if
you happen to dig driving your AMG GT in winter, there is a special set of
mud&snow tires available as well, 265/30 front and 305/25 rear.
