Nissan Micra X-Shift


Nissan has made the Micra CVT even more affordable. Starting at Rs 5.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is now the most affordable automatic in the premium hatchback territory. The Micra has globally recorded more than 6 million units in terms of sales and is also the most exported hatchback from India.

Launched back in July last year, the Micra X-Shift had an initial price tag of Rs 6,39,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry level XL variant. The new pricing markes a price cut of nearly 41,000 bucks. The website however has removed pricing details of manual transmission option with the petrol engine.


The Micra X-Shift is powered by the same 1.2 litre, in-line three cylinder petrol mill churning out 77 PS of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 104 Nm of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. Mated to this is a 5 speed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and claims a fuel efficiency figure of 19.34 km/l (ARAI figure).

It also gains additional features which includes:
  •          Smart key with push button start-stop
  •          Steering mounted audio controls
  •          Rear LED combi lamps
  •          Follow me home lamps
  •          Auto air con
  •          15 inch alloy wheels



In terms of safety, the Micra gets speed sensing doors which lock automatically when the car is in motion. It also gets dual front SRS airbags, ABS, EBD and brake assist. The Micra X-Shift is also available in a higher trim (XV) for Rs 6,73,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
