2017 Honda CB 650F and CBR 650F
Honda presents the line of Street
Fighter naked CB 650F and sport CBR 650F. Both models are produced at the
factory of Moto Honda da Amazonia in Manaus (AM). Both bikes received updates
on their graphics, with tricolors combinations that are unique to the country
and referring to McLaren Honda's competitions, Team HRC.
According to Honda, the color
combinations - red, white and blue, with golden wheels and the red and black
with black wheels - were inspired by racing motorcycles and are also tones that
bring resemblance to the colors adopted in sports bikes most displacement of
the brand. All development of new graphics was carried out in Brazil by Honda
designers team.
The brand also enhanced the pollutant
emission control system, leaving both CB 650F as the CBR 650F in accordance
with all the rules of the second stage of Control Program of Air Pollution by
Motorcycles and Similar Vehicles (PROMOT 4). The changes include the addition
of a canister system with active carbon filter for evaporative emissions from
the fuel tank and improvements in the catalyst system.
The two motorcycles now have three-year
warranty with unlimited mileage and three years of Honda Assistance, which
includes rescue and assistance motorcycle in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay,
Paraguay and Venezuela.
The engine, shared between models, has
four cylinders in line, DOHC system (Double Over Head Camshaft), double
camshaft in the head, 649 cc capacity, liquid-cooled. The maximum power is 87
hp at 11,000 rpm with a torque of 6.4 kgf.m at 8,000 rpm. The exchange rate is
six-speed, with the final transmission made by chain.
The set offers power and torque at any
speed, with soft answers to the pilot, especially up to 4,000 rpm, a feature
that facilitates displacement with heavy traffic or at low speeds. Its design
also includes a great performance speeds above 6,000 rpm, enabling efficient
driving in fast lanes.
The motor also results in induction
system that regulates the engine air flow. Its function is to improve the
torque in more abrupt accelerations. The electronic injection PGMF-I
(Programmed Fuel Injection) last generation, has four sensors in the throttle
body, responsible for a more accurate reading.
The panels of the two models share the
same instrumentation with speedometer display, tachometer and digital clock,
graphic meter fuel, total and partial odometers, and warning lights on the
electrical operation of the components. In both cases, the fuel tank is large
with 17.3 liters, which ensures excellent autonomy.
The rear wheels, in both models are 17
inches and equipped with tires 180/55-ZR17M / C. The two bikes are available in
unique versions ABS, with variations of red and black colors-. Public prices
are: CB 650F R$ 37,000.00 and CBR 650F R$ 38,800.00 base state of São Paulo,
without freight costs and insurance. The models have three-year warranty +
Honda Assistance, with unlimited mileage.
