BMW 740e Hybrid (UK)

With BMW's i technology making its debut on the all-new 7-Series, the Bavarian automaker just announced how much UK buyers will need to spend in order to purchase either the 740e or the all-wheel driven 740Le xDrive.

Meanwhile, by joining the likes of the X5 eDrive40e, 225xe and 330e in expanding the BMW i sub-brand, both 7-Series hybrid versions are primed to offer customers excellent long-distance comfort and luxury, as well as electric and emission-free mobility.

Starting from £ 68,330 is the 740e version, with a combined power output of 326 PS. It will accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and average around 134.5 mpg (2.1 l/100km) in ideal circumstances. It's all-electric range is 46 km.

The 740Le xDrive on the other hand costs upwards of £ 74,880, and while it's quicker to 100 km/h by 0.1 seconds than the 740e, it's not quite as efficient in terms of range (43 km) and average fuel consumption, which is rated at 117.7 mpg (2.4 l/100km).

Both versions are available to order now, featuring high levels of standard equipment such as the LED headlights, BMW Display Key, ConnectedDrive navigation pack, smartphone integration and Ambient light function, among many others.
