BMW M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition

Built solely for the U.S. market, BMW has presented the limited-run M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition with a host of performance modifications and custom visual touches.

For the U.S., 50 examples will be built, each priced from US$ 130,900 plus a US$ 995 destination charge.

As the name of the car implies, its defining feature is the Pure Metal Silver paint scheme, a color which ordinarily costs US$ 10,000 from BMW Individual's catalog. Joining the paint finish are a set of 20-inch M alloy wheels, an M Performance exhaust system with carbon fiber tips and a blacked-out kidney grille, also from the M Performance catalog.

Power wise, the model receives the usual 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 but now produces 600 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, 25 hp and 16 lb-ft more than 'regular' M5s installed with the Competition Package. With the added grunt, 100 km/h can be reached in a mere 3.9 seconds. The M Driver's Package also comes standard, bumping the top speed up to 305 km/h.

Inside, the M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition comes standard with Merino grey leather adorned in subtle contrast stitching and complemented with aluminum trim. Individually numbered plaques are also included in the cabin.
