Jeep Cherokee Overland (UK)
Unveiled in January and presented to the
public two months later in Geneva, the new Jeep Cherokee Overland is now
available to order across Britain.
The range-topping model can be bought
from £ 38,745 (US$ 54,855) and comes in a choice of four colors: Deep Cherry red,
Bright White, Brilliant Black and Billet Silver. Setting it apart from the rest
of the Cherokee range is an assortment of body-colored and chrome trim, 18-inch
polished bright aluminum wheels and Overland badge, on the tailgate.
Standard equipment includes powered,
ventilated and heated front seats with memory driver's seat and mirrors,
Uconnect radio, Alpine sound system, GPS navi, Bluetooth, 8.4-inch display,
panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, ParkSense front and rear reverse assist,
Berber floor mats, anodized silver bezels and wood insert on the steering
wheel. Customers can pick between Morocco Black Nappa Leather and a new
Pearl-colored Nappa Leather finish at no additional cost; both carry the
stitched Overland logo on the front seats.
Unlike the North American version's
3.2-liter Pentastar V6, which is rated at 271 HP and 239 lb-ft of torque,
Brits will have to settle for a 2.2-liter MultiJet II turbodiesel, producing
200-horsepower. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and
can be had in either Active Drive I or Active Drive II 4WD; the latter starts
from £ 39,950 (US$ 56,565).
