LaFerrari Spider
After months of speculation and numerous
leaks, the new limited Ferrari hypercar is finally revealed - partially.
Ferrari still keeps the official name,
technical characteristics and the number of cars produced under wraps up until
the car’s official debut at the Paris Motor Show.
All we know so far is that the open-top
LaFerrari will be available with a carbon hard top and a removable soft top
while the hardware remains the same with its fixed-roof brother.
This means that under the sexy bodywork
lies the glorious 789 hp V12 paired to a 160 hp electric motor for a total output
of 950 hp. Ferrari also lets us know that the chassis has been
extensively modified in order to offer the same torsional rigidity and beam
stiffness with the normal LaFerrari, if you can call a LaFerrari normal.
Even the aerodynamics of the bodywork
have been further honed in order to offer the same drag coefficient when
driving with the roof off so don’t expect any noticeable differences in
straight-line performance.
And just in case you now want one, learn
that every example scheduled to be made is already sold as Ferrari did show the
car to a selected few in a special preview.
