New BMW 5-Series Touring (Render)
BMW have been parading their all-new
5-Series around for a while now, dressed, of course, in proper camouflage
attire.
We've seen the saloon, we've seen the
Touring and we've even seen the GT doing test runs. However, in this particular
case, we're more interested in the Touring version seen as how we've gotten our
hands on a new and very detailed render courtesy of RM Design.
BMW made sure to cover up the rear really well on the
Touring, making it hard for us to say if this rendering has or hasn't got
anything in common with the real thing. The wheels are obviously a bit of a
stretch and so are those beefy arches that remind us of something fit to wear
the popular M-badge. Headlights also seem to be a bit different and so is the
design of the bonnet - though we already knew that since the first time we saw
this particular render taking the shape of the 5-Series sedan.
Aesthetics aside, speculating about the
possible return of the M5 Touring is pretty exciting, even though BMW officials
haven't confirmed anything about a new super-fast family wagon. Another thing
we're awaiting confirmation on is BMW bringing the 5-Series Touring to the
States again, where it hasn't touched down since its E60/E61-generation.
Once out, the all-new BMW 5-Series
Touring will compete with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate, Audi
A6 Avant, Volvo V90 and eventually the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake.
