Rolls-Royce Shadow
If you've ever wondered what the
quickest way to build a four-door RR coupe would be, replacing the Ghost's roof
with that of the Wraith should definitely get the job done.
The result, according to the talented
folk over at Theswageline, is called the Shadow. It's a slightly sportier, more
driver-focused alternative to the Ghost, though if we think about it, in order
for it to be more driver-focused it would also need additional mods completely
unrelated to its appearance.
Finished in Aqua Blue, this render
features all the familiar Rolls-Royce styling cues you can think of, such as
the coach-style rear doors, the brushed aluminum bonnet and of course the
Spirit of Ecstasy.
Now back to the real world, because the
only thing real about this image is the fact that two actual Rolls-Royce models
were used for this design to come together. So in reality, the British luxury
car maker has more important things to do than to built a 4-door coupe at the
moment, such as getting the all-new Phantom ready for its 2018 debut.
And no, its shape isn't going to remind
anybody of this drawing since RR have already teased the next Phantom's
all-aluminum body and its massive, near-vertical C-Pillar reminds us a lot of
the current car.
