2016 Isuzu D-Max Facelift and MU-X

The new Isuzu MU-X is on display at the
2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. The new facelift is being
showcased for the first time in the country.
It is priced from IDR 448 million for the standard variant, and IDR 478 million for the Premiere
variant. Isuzu D-Max Facelift is also making its Indonesian debut at the
ongoing show. It is priced from IDR 341 million to IDR 514 Million.
New Isuzu D-Max is built to compete in
the commercial segment, while the the MU-X competes with the likes of Toyota
Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
MU-X borrows design cues from the D-Max.
It receives chrome grille, flared wheel arches and 16” alloy wheels while it
bears strong similarity to the Chevrolet Trailblazer. Its interiors are seen
with silver steering wheel, 6 way adjustable driver seat and a long list of
infotainment features besides climate controls, split seats in second and third
row and plenty of storage spaces.
MU-X is powered by a RZ4E-TC 1.9 liter
turbo diesel engine offering 150 PS power and 350 Nm torque and a 4JJi-TCX 3.0
liter turbo diesel engine offering 117 PS power and 380 Nm torque. The D-Max facelift
receives a turbo diesel engine with 136 PS power and 32.6 kgm torque. Both
these models are set to garner the attention of buyers at the Indonesia Auto
Show ahead of launch in the country.
