Tata Ultra 1012 Light Truck


Tata Ultra showcased in 2016 GIIAS, design caters to modern customer needs like superior performance, world-class cabin, high load capacity and flexible body-load configuration.

Tata Ultra 1012 variants are suited for specific applications and meets technical specs required by body builders. Load is 7 tonnes with deck length options of 4 meter and 6 meter.


Suited for diverse functions and users, heavily built drivers, contract drivers and owners, Tata Ultra 1012 claims lowest operational cost. powered by a Tata 497 TCIC 3.783 cc engine, the LCV returns 125 Ps @2400 rpm and a torque of 400 Nm @1300-1500 rpm. Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is at around 10 tonne. G-550transmission has six gears with overdrive (OD).

Cabin design gives the driver a broad angle of view. Safety and comfort are optimised through the seat adjuster, steering adjuster and weight control seat. Tilt-able telescopic power steering creates stability and comfort at high speed.


Tata Ultra 1012 three-seater offer an adjustable driver seat and two for passengers. Fitted with full air brakes and radial tubeless tires, there’s the use of a neutral switch, side beam impact and three points active retractable safety belt. The Rolled Frame tech chassis is made of high tensile material. The LCV uses a parabolic leaf spring suspension in the front and semi elliptic leaf in the rear, complemented with a shock absorber and rubber bushing.

Trials and testing before launch covered 25,000 kilometers across tough terrains and varied operating conditions.
