2017 BMW 4-Series
After the unveiling of the
facelifted BMW 3-Series sedan and GT models, the 4-Series Coupe has been
snapped testing the same subtle styling tweaks.
The redesign starts at the front and
will include refreshed headlights, likely identical to those of the 2017
3-Series and therefore slightly taller and complete with different graphics
than the outgoing units. Additionally, the front bumper will be reworked to
include slightly different air intake surrounds, fog lights and a new lower
chin spoiler.
Other tweaks expected to be found on the
facelifted 4-Series will be new panels behind the front wheels and an
overhauled tail including different lights, exhaust tips, bumper and diffuser.
The updated
4-Series will be offered with a number of four and six-cylinder engines
depending on the market. In Europe and elsewhere around the globe, the car
should be offered with the same 181 hp 2.0-liter turbo four, 246 hp 2.0-liter
turbo four and 322 hp straight-six as the 2017 3-Series GT. Up to five diesel
derivatives could also be available, delivering between 148 hp and 309 hp.
U.S. buyers will be offered a reduced
range of engines but will almost certainly be graced with the mid-range 246 hp
turbocharged four-cylinder and the 322 hp turbo'd 3.0-liter straight six of the
340i.
