2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1


Chevrolet was silently working on its iconic Mustang rival; Camaro. On its 50th birthday Chevrolet gave the Camaro the power it never has had before. Yes, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is the most powerful Camaro till date with 650 hp on tap.

With such immense power the Chevy Camaro ZL1 is more powerful than the Shelby Mustang GT350. The new Camaro ZL1 beats the Mustang as the previous one reaches 0 – 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.


The Camaro ZL1 gets power from a massive 6.2 litre LT4 supercharged V8 engine. Transmission options include a 6 speed manual gearbox and a 10 speed automatic gearbox. The engine is shared with the Corvette Z06, which is the flagship model from the automaker. The car is expected to launch sometime in 2017, and it will come in both coupe and convertible body style. The coupe will get a price tag of US$ 62,135 while the convertible will be priced at US$ 69,135.

Chevrolet is also set to launch the 1LE track ready package for all the Camaro. This package will include Brembo brake, magnetic dampers, and electronic limited slip differential. The suspensions will be updated as well. Also the cooling system has been updated and the car runs on 20 inch wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.


The LT model fitted with this package will be able to reach 0 – 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. On the other hand the SS model equipped with 1LE package will reach the same in 4.2 seconds. On the pricing front the 1LE package is available at US$ 4,500 for the V6 and US$ 6,500 for the V8 variants.
