2017 Chevrolet S10
The S10 will be marketed in
thirteen configurations. There are four versions of finish (LS, LT, LTZ and
High Country), three cabin options (single, double and chassis cab), two engine
(2.8 TurboDiesel and 2.5 SIDI Flex), two types of transmission (manual and
automatic, both six speeds), and two types of traction (4 × 4 × 2:04 with
reduced).
Among the mechanical
changes, the truck received new sets of suspension and brakes, for example, are
new; while the vibration control systems and noise have been improved. The hydraulic steering
system was replaced by the electric power steering. According to brand the
system contributed to a better handling of the vehicle, especially in urban
stretches. The Chevrolet system is equipped with technologies that make up the
track gradient over long distances and reduce judder generated by the unbalance
of the wheels.
In line 2017 pickup truck
lost engine 2.4 Flexpower and will be sold only with the 2.8 TurboDiesel engines
(200 hp) and the 2.5 Flex (206 hp) which is up to 5% more economical through
the use of lighter materials, new components mechanical and aerodynamic
solutions.
The visual changes are
concentrated on the front. The hood has a cavity carved in the rear. The grid
was extended to the lights, which were also completely redesigned and may have
an LED light guide (DRL).
Already the bumper brings
aerodynamic appendages at the ends framing the auxiliary lights, and a kind of
steel chest, in the middle, just below the plate frame, reinforce the muscular

18-inch rim in LTZ and High Country options.
At the rear the only change
is the adoption of built-in reversing camera on the handle cover. Already

to favor the lower fuel consumption. There is also the function that allows you
to check the tire pressure.
The truck is equipped with
multimedia second generation MyLink with GPS. The system will add
high-resolution screen and new features, including Android Auto and Apple
CarPlay.
In practice, this means
greater possibility of interaction between the vehicle and the user's
smartphone. And the best: with the voice command option, so the driver need not
take your hands off the wheel or focus on traffic. The pickup also now has the
OnStar which is an advanced telematics system that offers the driver more than
20 Emergency services, security, navigation, Concierge and Connectivity.
Other highlights are the electronic controls of traction (TC) and stability (EPS) and starting assistants ramps (HSA) and descent (HDC). While the starting assistant ramps does not allow the vehicle to pull back on steep outputs; lowering the assistant controls the speed steep descents without the need for driver intervention, providing greater control of the vehicle.
