2017 Toyota Corolla GLi Upper Black Pack


The 2017 Toyota Corolla comes to the market and this is the special edition Black Pack. The option adds custom internal and external accessories series for GLi Upper version. The version comes with a suggested price of R$ 83,720 and will be sold only in eclipse black.

The special edition Black Pack adds an upper custom color side moldings in the vehicle, external door handles and chrome sills, trunk tray and parking sensor.

The GLi Upper version debuted in Corolla line in 2015 and has internal finish before only available for XEi and Altis versions as standard in gray leather for the front and rear seats, the four doors and the front armrest.


In the back seat, there is center armrest with cup holders and access to the trunk by folding 60/40 banks. GLi has basic trim, with manual six-speed transmission and Multi-Drive transmission, remain with interior trim in gray fabric.

Corolla GLi Upper Black pack features : air conditioning with manual control, key knife type with integrated alarm commands, on-board computer with seven functions (average fuel consumption, Eco Drive indicator, autonomy, average speed, elapsed time, panel lighting control and external temperature), steering column with height and depth, odometer and digital clock, sound system with USB connectivity for iPod® and Bluetooth® device and the like, glass and mirrors with drive electric, multifunction steering wheel, among others.

The Corolla 2017 line maintains two engine options. The GLi versions, including the new special edition GLi Upper Black Pack, are equipped with 1.8L engine Flexfuel, Dual VVT-i DOHC 16-valve, which yields 139 Hp at 6,000 rpm when fueled with gasoline, and 144 Hp, also 6,000 spins with ethanol. The maximum torque in this configuration is 17.7 Kgm (with gasoline) and 18.4 Kgm. (ethanol), always at 4,200 rpm.


The XEi and Altis versions with 2.0L engine Flexfuel, Dual VVT-i DOHC 16-valve, yield 143 Hp at 5,600 rpm when fueled with gasoline, and 154 Hp at 5,800 revolutions with ethanol. The maximum torque is 19.4 Kgm at 4,000 rpm (with gasoline) and 20.3 Kgm at 4,800 turns (with ethanol).

The Corolla 2017 line is equipped with two types of transmission, six-speed manual, the GLi input version, and the exclusive automatic transmission Multi-Drive seven-speed, in the other.

The Multi-Drive transmission derives from the CVT technology and has been adopted to suit the taste of Brazilian consumers, which favors performance without sacrificing comfort and low fuel consumption. Its distinguishing feature is a management software that simulates seven gears, even when the driver driving the vehicle with the exchange rate in the Drive position.
