Glide Special by Marvel
To honor Captain America’s 75th
anniversary, Marvel and Harley got together to create a bespoke custom bike for
the Cap'n and another 24 for the rest of the heroes.
Similar to the Suicide Squad cars (only
for real this time) the project, led by dealers from Australia and New Zeeland,
matches some of Marvel’s most popular characters with distinctive, custom-built
Harley bikes.
Each motorcycle hails from a different dealer,
and it bears its maker’s signature. The line features a formidable range of
heroes (and anti-heroes), including Ant-Man, Ultron, Spider-Gwen, Thor, Groot,
Drax, Iron Man, Black Panther, and more.
However, the Captain America Harley
started it all, as Harley-Davidson spokesperson, David Turney says (according
to Comicbook):
“We customised the Captain America
Street Glide Special to inspire Harley-Davidson dealers across Australia and
New Zealand to create their own Marvel character inspired custom motorcycle
using the wider H-D range. The results have been phenomenal. A true combination
of super powers, with over 16 Marvel characters represented.”
Sadly, these stunning machines are not
