Aprilia SR 150 (India)
The Aprilia SR 150 was confirmed to
launch on 22 August. Its brochure has been leaked online by a Team-BHP
forum member. The leaked image appears to be just one of the images of the
brochure.
The Aprilia SR 150 is the company’s
first ‘crossover’ bike and also the first model to be manufactured in India.
It’s built alongside the Vespa scooters at Piaggio India’s Baramati plant in
Maharashtra. It will be sold through Vespa and Aprilia dealerships in the
country.
The Aprilia SR 150 is powered by the
Vespa 150’s 154.4 cc air-cooled single-cylinder carbureted engine. In the SR
150, it produces 10.4 hp at 5,750 rpm and 11.4 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The
engine is also locally manufactured, and sends power to the wheel via a
continuously variable transmission.
Noteworthy features of the Aprilia SR
150 include twin headlamps, 14-inch black alloy wheels, pass switch, 220 mm
front disc brake, twin pod analogue instrument panel and USB charging socket.
The Aprilia SR 150 is priced at INR 65,000 (ex-showroom) as an introductory
offer.
