VW Tiguan LWB
Aimed mainly at the Chinese and US
markets, VW's long wheelbase 2017 Tiguan was spotted out and about in Germany
this week.
This one is missing any sort of camouflage,
allowing spies to fully take in its sporty lines and exposed front end, which
doesn't seem to differ that much from the one on the regular model anymore.
This could indicate that VW might be
looking to insert this car into European markets as well, but at this point it
would be pure speculation.
Look for the size, we know that this
model will ride on a 11 cm stretched wheelbase compared to the
regular Tiguan, offering its passengers a roomier interior and a more spacious
boot thanks to the longer rear overhang.
The LWB Tiguan should be available with
most if not all of the regular model's power units, though we'll have to wait
and see how VW plans on distributing the engines across select markets.
One final thing we can take away from
these spy images is the dual-tone wheel design, which is identical to what we
saw in one of the earliest LWB Tiguan spots that came from China back in July.
