2017 Seat Leon Cupra (facelift)
The 2017 Seat Leon didn’t
premiere at the Paris Motor Show, but Seat confirmed at the venue that the
model will be introduced next year. The almost
undisguised spy shots of the 2017 Seat Leon Cupra (facelift) from Europe have
been uploaded on decoches blog.
The 2017 Seat Leon Cupra (facelift) features tweaked
headlamps, reshaped bumper, wider radiator grille, shortened air dam and
redesigned side air intakes. At the profile, the door mirrors appear new and
the rear-end sees minor updates with a new bumper and tweaked taillamp
graphics.
The interior of the facelifted Seat Leon Cupra is
yet to be seen. Changes may include new trim and upholstery, mood lighting and
a new infotainment system.
In the current highest specification, the Seat Leon
Cupra is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine
that delivers 290 hp at 5,900-6,400 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1,700-5,800
rpm. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 6-speed DSG. With the facelift, the output could be dialed up to
300 hp, while the 6-speed gearbox could be replaced by the 7-speed gearbox.
