Eicher Polaris Multix BS IV
Eicher Polaris expands the reach of its BS IV
compliant Eicher Polaris Multix. On
sale at INR 3.43 lakhs in 30 cities across 13 states in India, Multix sales
will now be expanded to 100 cities by December this year. Offered in two
variants and four color options sales will commence in Kerala, Odisha and Tamil
Nadu.
Eicher Polaris Multix is produced at the company
facility in Kukas near Jaipur which has been built at an investment of INR 350
crores. This plant has the capacity to produce 60,000 units per annum.
Multix, which is offered in two variants AX+ and MX,
is powered by a highly efficient 510.7cc single cylinder, direct injection
natural aspiration diesel engine offering 9.78 bhp power and 27.1 Nm torque. It
has been put through 18,00,000 kms of testing for its offroading facilities,
safety and durability while it has also proved its stance across the most
challenging of test tracks in the US. The Eicher Polaris Multix was also tested
on specially built tracks in India prior to it going on sale.
Eicher Polaris Multix offers enhanced cabin space
for a family of 5 along with luggage while its rear can be adapted to
accommodate upto 1918 liter. It is fitted with Pro Ride with independent
suspension system while structural stability is thanks to a tubular frame work
and Roll Over Protection System.
Energy and efficiency is delivered via its Flexituff
body. The most outstanding feature on board is X-PORT capable of power take off
which generates upto 3 kW. The vehicle can also be used to light homes, power
equipment, DJ systems and water pumps.
