Hyundai line-up (2016 SEMA)
The four concepts of Hyundai present
are the Bisimoto "Santa-Fast", nitrous-based Rockstar Santa Fe, the
Gurnade Veloster Concept and the Ark Road Racer Elantra Concept.
The RWD Bisimoto Santa Fe is powered by a flex-fuel turbocharged Hyundai-based 3.9-liter Lambda
V6, putting down no fewer than 1,040 HP.
The nitrous-fueled Rockstar Santa Fe on the other
hand is more about off-road performance, which is easy to figure out once you
glance at its 17" KMC bead-lock wheels and 35" Mickey Thompson Baja
Claw tires.
Powering it is a 3.3-liter V6 Hyundai unit, fitted
with an AEM cold air intake, Mishimoto cooling system, Magnaflow exhaust and
most importantly a nitrous-oxide injection system. But no power
output figures have been released.
The track-oriented Veloster concept on the other
hand couldn't be any more different than these previous two. Gurnade made lots
of technical and aesthetic changes to the Veloster, such as adding the ECU
tune, ARK Performance cat-back exhaust, 845 Motorsports intercooler, downpipe
and cold-air intake, as well as the custom fender flares and grille, carbon
fiber spoiler, side sills, vented bumper cover, custom headlights, Cobra Nogaro
racing seats, Takata racing harnesses, Pierce Motorsports roll cage plus quite
a few other modifications.
Last, the ARK Performance Road Racer Elantra
Concept, is all about using the Elantra's practical yet sporty lines and giving
it a sort of alternate personality - one that includes integrated flares,
bulging forged racing wheels and new front & rear fascia designs.
ARK has fitted the Elantra with a turbo
kit, blow-off valve and wastegate, a custom exhaust and a new suspension with
coil-over shocks, tower brace and front & rear anti-roll bars.
All five cars, including the new Skunkworks Race Concept,
will be on display November 1st at the Last Vegas Convention Center.
