Seat Leon ST by DF Automotive
The bridge between the FR and the Cupra has widened
once Seat introduced the 280 and 290 variants, but DF Automotive decided to
narrow the gap.
The
Seat Leon ST is an ordinary family station wagon, with its most potent petrol
variant (the FR) boasting 179 PS and 250 Nm from a 1.8
TSI engine. Admirable, but far away from the standards imposed by its more
powerful siblings.
DF Automotive, made the FR a little bit
more competitive by upping its power output to 210 PS and an impressive
310 Nm of torque. The German aftermarket specialists also installed
a set of humongous 8,5 x 20-inch OZ Superturismo rims, wrapped in 235/30/R20
tires, and a Variant 1 KW coil-over suspension system that only lowers the
vehicle between 30 to 70 mm in the front and 50 to 90 mm in the back.
This Leon ST FR is undoubtedly the cheap, cheerful
and sporty alternative to the overpowered estates available nowadays,
especially as it would make the perfect balanced B-road grocery getter.
