Harley Davidson India adds two new models, Harley
Davidson Roadster and the Harley Davidson Road Glide Special to its lineup.
They have also introduced the all-new Milwaukee-Eight engine.
Harley Davidson Roadster and Road Glide Special have
been added to the company lineup along with a range of Milwaukee Eight engines
to be seen on its touring range of motorcycles within the country.
The Harley Davidson Roadster exudes power and
performance and gets a price tag of INR 9.70 lakhs. It is powered by a V-Twin
1,200 cc air cooled engine also seen on board the 1200 Custom. This engine is
capable of 96 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm, while true to company policy, power
figures have been kept a secret. The new Roadster receives 4” digital
instrumentation indicating time, trip meter and gear indication.
2017MY Harley Davidson Road Glide Special is priced at
INR 32.81 lakhs and will go on sales from the end of this month. It boasts of
aggressive styling and ideally suited for touring while high mileage is its
plus point. The Road Glide Special will be powered by a new Milwaukee Eight 107
Single Cam V-Twin ending offering peak torque of 150 Nm at 3,250 rpm. It will
receive features that include a 6.5” touchscreen infotainment system and BOOM!
6.5 GT audio system.
Lastly, the 2017 Harley Davidson Street 750 Motorcycle is priced
at INR 4.91 lakhs and comes in two color schemes of Vivid Black Deluxe and Fire
Red Deluxe. The bike gets fitted with a new tank badge and is offered with ABS.
Each of the 2017 models get fitted with anti lock braking system which
is now on offer across all the 13 Harley Davidson models – Street, Sportster,
Dyna, Softail and Touring models on sale in India.
Milwaukee Eight range of engines offered in three
different states of tunes offer more power while liquid cooling ensures that
heating is considerably reduced. Fitted with rubber mountings ensures better
balance, lower vibrations and an overall better ride.
