2017 KTM Duke 125
KTM has focused
on its Naked range for the general public, allowing everyone to enjoy its
latest innovations on a daily basis. The KTM 125 Duke and its big
sisters see their chassis, part-cycle and equipment up a little more in the
range.
One of the most significant transformations concerns
the frame, which now takes up the two-part (screwed) architecture of the upper
displacement Duke. Highlighted by an orange paint, the aluminum rear frame
reinforces the consistency between the different models of the range.
The KTM Duke 125 2017
gives pride of place to technical developments. The reservoir, which retains
its prominent shape, thus gains in capacity (13.4 L). The dashboard features a
more readable, ergonomic TFT screen, which can communicate with the KTM My Ride
smartphone application to display your phone calls or songs currently playing
(pay option).
The part-cycle is not left with a new fork inverted
WP Suspension of Ø 43 mm. Thanks to its open cartridge, it promises a minimum
of maintenance, a longer life and a significantly reduced weight. The brake
system was designed in partnership with Brembo, which opted for a duo of discs
of Ø 300 and Ø 230 mm. The set promises exceptional maneuverability and
agility.
The KTM 125 Duke 2017 is equipped with a single-cylinder
4-stroke 124.7 cc double overhead camshaft and electronic fuel injection.
Despite its recent Euro 4 approval, it develops a very comfortable 15 hp for a
maximum torque of 12 Nm at 7500 rpm. He will have no trouble moving the 137
pounds of steel perched on their 17" rims.
