2017 Nissan Leaf
The 2017MY Leaf continues to be offered in three trim
grades named S, SV and SL, but the entry-level version now benefits from the 30
kWh battery, which justifies its increased price tag, from US$ 29,010 to US$ 30,680,
without destination.
The Leaf provides a zero-emissions
driving range of more than 100 miles (161 km) and charging its battery from the
low-battery warning, using a quick charger, up to 80 percent takes
approximately 30 minutes. Using a Level II, 240 V, home charging system means that
the battery will reach 100 percent in roughly six hours.
The new lithium-ion battery pack is accompanied by a
limited warranty for eight years of 100,000 miles (160,934 km), whichever comes
first. All Nissan Leaf models are powered by an 80 kW AC synchronous motor that
generates 107 HP and 254 Nm of torque.
Standard equipment includes RearView Monitor and
Bluetooth, while the SV and SL grades benefit from NissanConnectSM with
Navigation and a 7.0-inch color display with multi-touch control, voice
recognition, HD Radio, SiriusXM Traffic and Travel LinkTM for weather, fuel
prices, stock info, sports and movie listings, and NissanConnect EV.
Additionally, the Premium Package can also be specified to these two grades,
adding the Around Vie Monitor and a Bose premium sound system.
