Alfa Romeo Trionfo
The Alfa
Romeo Trionfo is an independent study created to celebrate the Italian brand’s
history that spawned a lot of great cars throughout the years.
According to
its creator, Sebastiano Ciarcià , the Trionfo was born with the target to evoke
the classic Alfa Romeo myth and spirit, retracing the most important stages of
its history. And the project doesn’t need an ”Alfista” educated eye to see the
resemblances that honor the Italian car maker’s greatest creations and time
periods, from the post-war era to the 1950s.
The Trionfo was modeled as a one-seat spider,
adopting proportions and volumes found on the iconic 1952 Disco Volante, the 6c
3000 CM and 300 CM Zagato Spider, as well as the Duetto and Sport Spider.
Its powertrain was imagined as a
state-of-the-art system, composed of 4 electric motors (one in each wheel)
drawing energy from a gas microturbine unit. The designer says that the amount
of power created by the setup, together with the vehicle’s lightweight
construction, makes for a high-performance package.
