Jaguar XF
Sportbrake
Jaguar plans
to introduce a wagon version of the XF to compete against the Germans
and Volvo’s fresh V90 estate. The company’s
design director Ian Callum was misquoted recently in an interview saying they
would never build another wagon.
Auto Express
reports that Jaguar might have already signed off the Sportbrake version of the
XF.
Callum
recognized himself as a wagon lover when he spoke to the British publication,
adding that China might also become interested in wagons after all.
The new wagon
will feature a coupe-like roofline and a rear end inspired by the lines of the
new F-Pace. Engine options will be the same with the regular XF, with the
British also planning a high-performance SVR version to rival the Audi RS6 and
Mercedes E63 AMG.
