Mercedes-AMG GLE43
Mercedes has unveiled the all-new performance
oriented GLE43 at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, which is the latest addition
in the ‘43’ lineup from the German luxury automaker. The SUV will replace the
GLE400 early next year.
The SUV comes very muscular and stylish looking and
it has been designed by the Mercedes’s in-house tuner, to show off a true
sporty character along with high performance. The
all-new Mercedes-AMG GLE43 also come equipped with upgraded suspension, brake,
optional sport seats from the inventory of AMG. Pricing of the model is
expected to be announced soon, ahead of its commercial launch.
This SUV sports large and wide LED headlamps, dual
chrome finished horizontal slats at the large aggressive front grille with the
three-star logo sitting at the middle. The front bumper looks massive with
large air intakes. The SUV flexes its muscle through the boxy
shape and incorporates with the large sporty AMG wheels, flared fenders, LED
turn indicator integrated ORVMs, sporty roof rails.
Rear fascia of the Mercedes-AMG GLE43 comes with
integrated roof spoiler, wrap around large LED taillights, chrome trim and a
chunky bumper. Interior of the SUV reflects blend of style, premiumness and
sportiness. It gets sport seats as option.
Power source for the Mercedes-AMG GLE43 SUV is a
3.0-litre V6 petrol engine, tuned by the AMG to deliver higher performance. The
engine is well capable to churn out 362 hp of peak power and massive 520 Nm of
peak torque. Transmission duty is done by a 9-speed automatic gearbox and power
is sent to all the four wheels through Mercedes’ 4Matic AWD system. It can
reach 0-100 km/h in less than 6 seconds, while its top speed is electronically
limited to 250 km/h.
