2017 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD

Acura RLX Sport Hybrid model is set to go on sale tomorrow at dealerships nationwide.

The RLX Sport Hybrid features the most spacious cabin in its class, as well as a powertrain that combines V8-like performance with 4-cylinder-like fuel efficiency and excellent handling characteristics thanks to its torque vectoring AWD system.

The power unit is a direct-injected 3.5-liter 310 HP V6 with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), a built-in motor-generator powering the front wheels and two rear electric motors for the rear wheels. Its combined power output is 377 HP, whereas its EPA rating is 29/30/29 mpg (city/highway/combined).

Among the RLX Sport Hybrid's tech features are the distinctive Jewel Eye LED headlights, the 19" wheels, the AcuraLink connected car system, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow and of course AcuraWatch - a suite of safety and driver assistance technologies.

The AcuraWatch suite includes the previously-mentioned adaptive cruise control system, but also collision mitigation braking system, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, blind spot information and cross traffic monitor.

Buyers will be able to choose between two grades, more specifically the Technology Package version (US$ 59,950) and the more expensive Advance Package version, which is priced from US$ 65,950.
