2017 Dodge Challenger GT AWD 3.5L
The Dodge Challenger is available with all-wheel drive in the form of the 2017
Challenger GT AWD. Power for the model comes courtesy of the familiar
3.5-liter Pentastar V6 delivering 305 hp and 268 lb-ft and mated exclusively to
ZF’s eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Challenger GT AWD then adopts the
same transfer case and front-axle disconnect has the all-wheel drive Charger.
Typically, all of the power whipped up by the V6 is sent to the rear wheels.
Power only gets funnelled through the front when necessary.
Visually, the model is almost
impossible to pick apart from the rear-wheel drive Challenger V6. As standard,
it includes parts like 19-inch wheels with all-season performance tires, a
subtle rear spoiler and fog lights.
Inside, customers will be welcomed with heated
and ventilated front seats wrapped in Nappa leather, an 8.4-inch infotainment
system and a heated steering wheel. An optional ‘GT Interior’ package is also
available for US$ 995 and adds more Nappa leather, alcantara, a
performance-focused steering wheel and nine-speaker stereo.
Prices for the model start at US$ 34,490 including the US$ 1,095 destination charge, making it cheaper than alternatives such as the
Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic Coupe, Infiniti Q60 and BMW 430i xDrive.
