2017 Hyundai Accent Value Edition

The 2017 Hyundai Accent has gained a new Value Edition version, costing just US$ 705 more than the base model while adding several extra features.

These are the 16" machine finish alloys, the rear disc brakes, steering wheel mounted cruise & audio controls, cruise control, Bluetooth hands-free phone system and a sliding armrest storage box.

Powering the Accent Value Edition is the same 137 HP 1.6-liter 4-cylinder unit that can be found in the rest of the range, paired to a six-speed automatic. Models featuring the 6-speed manual however are capable of an EPA-estimated 27 city (8.7 l/100km), 37 highway (6.3 l/100km) and 31 combined mpg (7.6 l/100km).

In terms of safety, the Accent is equipped with two front airbags, as well as driver and passenger side and curtain airbags. Other standard safety tech includes the Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Management - which integrates control of the ESC and motor-driven power steering in order to improve handling in slippery conditions.

For the record, entry-level 6-speed manual SE version is priced from US$ 15,745 and lacks all the previously-mentioned convenience features.
