2017 Suzuki Ignis (UK)

The new Suzuki Ignis has just arrived in the UK. In Europe's largest left-hand drive market, the five-seat small crossover carries a starting price of £ 9,999 for the SZ3, which comes with 15-inch wheels, front electric windows, six airbags, DAB radio with Bluetooth and air conditioning.

The mid-range SZ-T model adds 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, wheel arch extension, satellite navigation system and four seats, with individually sliding rear seats for £ 11,499 , while range-topper SZ5 can be had from £ 12,999 and comes with LED headlights with DRLs and front fog lamps, rear electric winwdows, Dual Camera Brake Support and keyless entry&go.

Power comes from a 90 PS naturally aspirated 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol unit, which can be specified with a mild hybrid application that sees the addition of a belt-driven integrated starter generator, and a lithium-ion battery, as previously seen in the Baleno. In this form, it returns 65.7 mpg UK (4.3l/100 km) and emits 97 g/km of CO2 for the 2WD model.

Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual gearbox, and can also specify the new Ignis with the brand's ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system, which is only available on the SZ5 grade, where it adds a £ 200 premium on top of its starting price.

Besides the UK, the 2017 Suzuki Ignis is also on sale in the Republic of Ireland, where it can be had from £ 12,995, up to £ 17,995, depending on the selected grade.
