Ducati 959 Panigale Special Edition
Ducati UK has just announced a special edition
Ducati Performance 959 Panigale, which is adorned with a selection of trick
parts from the Ducati Performance catalogue.
Only 25 of the sexed-up baby Panigales will be
produced, costing £ 15,995 or £ 16,995 with an additional carbon pack and each
one will be individually numbered with a lazer etching in the steering head.
That's about £ 2,600 more than the standard 959 in red.
The bike addresses one of the main points
of criticism on the standard 959 Panigale – those shotgun exhausts and comes
with an Akrapovic under engine exhaust system and suitable lower fairings. A
quick check of the Ducati accessories catalogue reveals that if you were to buy
the 959 Akrapovic silencer kit on its own, you'd be paying £ 2,775.80, so this
looks like a lot of bang for your buck.
There’s also plenty of billet aluminium too,
courtesy of a billet race tank filler cap, articulated racing levers, brake
lever protector.
The carbon pack also gets you parts including a
carbon ignition switch cover, carbon shock cover, carbon heel guards, tail
tidy, front sprocket cover, tank protector, chain guard and carbon rear
mudguard and billet bar end weights. This special edition 959 also gets a plastic seat
cowl and race screen.
