Mazda MX-5 Super 175 Tuning Package by BBR

BBR has extended its portfolio of Mazda upgrades by launching a new tuning package for 1,8-liter variants of the MX-5. Developed using the same techniques used on the popular Super 200 conversion, this pack boosts power to 175 BHP and 194 Nm of torque and is design specifically to work on the smaller capacity 'NC' versions of the MX-5.

BBR developed a pair of exclusive camshaft profiles with unique lift and timing specifications. Together with a 4 into 1 tubular stainless steel exhaust manifold and an engine management recalibration, the Super 175 package delivers its power and torque gains from just 3,000 rpm thus maximizing everyday drivability.

The Super 175 pack consists of the following components: High flow BBR panel air filter, stainless steel 4 into 1 exhaust manifold, high performance intake and exhaust camshafts, 3.5 inch diameter branded tailpipes with stainless steel clamps, ECU remap and badges for the front wings and boot lid.

The previously mentioned 175 BHP and 143 lb-ft of torque represent a gain of 39 BHP and 20 Nm compared to the original configuration. The Super 175 package is fully UK MOT compliant and can run on either 98 or 95 octane petrol. It's priced at £ 1,995 fully installed, or £ 1,595 for BBR's DIY version - all prices exclude VAT.
