Maruti Suzuki has launched the Maruti Ignis crossover for sale in
India. Available in both petrol and diesel variants spread across four grades,
the Ignis is priced between INR 4.59 Lakhs to INR 7.80 Lakhs (ex-showroom
Delhi).

It measures 3,700 mm long, 1,690 mm wide, 1,595 mm
tall, has a wheelbase of 2,435 mm, and ground clearance of 180 mm. Customers
can chose from six regular colour options: Pearl Arctic White, Uptown Red,
Tinsel Blue, Silky Silver, Urban Blue and Glistening Grey. Zeta and Alpha
grades get contrast Black/White roof for Tinsel Blue and Uptown Red.
The Ignis is available with a 1.2L K12B 4-cyl petrol
engine producing 83 PS and 113 Nm of torque, or a 1.3L 4-cyl DDiS 190
diesel engine with 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual is
standard, while a 5-speed AMT gearbox is available as an option in both
variants.
The Maruti Ignis petrol can average a fuel economy
of 20.89 km/L, while the Maruti Ignis diesel can register a mileage of 26.80
km/L (both ARAI certified). It has a fuel tank capacity of 32L, and the petrol
variant weighs between 825 kg – 860 kg, while the diesel variant weighs between
940 kg – 960 kg. The Ignis offers a boot capacity of 260L.
While dual airbags and ABS are standard across all
variants, grades Delta and above get an audio system, steering-mounted buttons,
dual-tone dashboard, power-operated ORVMs, and an MID. The Alpha grade gets LED
projector headlamps and DRLs, puddle lamp, Smartplay touchscreen system with
Apple CarPlay, support for Suzuki remote app, automatic climate control and
rear view camera.
