Mercedes-Benz is showcasing the Mercedes E-Class
All-Terrain at the 2017 Vienna Auto Show.
The E-Class All-Terrain is Mercedes-Benz’s answer to the Audi A6 Allroad
and the Volvo V90 Cross Country. The embodiment of the adventure estate is from
the SUV-style two-fin grille, distinctive bumper with the top part painted in
the body colour and the lower part in grained black plastic, model-specific
three-part rear bumper having its top part in the body colour and the bottom
part in grained black plastic, and external load sill protection.
Inside, the E-Class All-Terrain features a
trim part in aluminium-carbon look – an All-Terrain model-exclusive. The rugged
estate borrows equipment from the AVANTGARDE interior line. EXCLUSIVE and
designo appointments are optionally available.
At launch, Its available in the E 220d 4MATIC model powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged
four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 194 hp at 3,800 rpm and 400
Nm of torque at 1,600-2,800 rpm. 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission and
4MATIC all-wheel drive system are standard. A The DYNAMIC SELECT drive mode
selector offers five different modes, including a model-specific All-Terrain
mode with settings for off-road driving. This driving mode gets inspired from
the Mercedes GLE’s program.
The Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain goes on sale in Europe
in Spring 2017 (March-May 2017). A six-cylinder engine model with the 9G-TRONIC
transmission will follow shortly after.
