Autotribune.co.kr has published renderings of the 2018MY Hyundai
Sonata to show the changes expected on the car.
The facelifted Sonata would get the new Cascading
grille seen on the 2017 Hyundai i30 and the 2017 Hyundai i10/2017 Hyundai Grand
i10, tweaked headlamps, new, LED daytime running lights and new tail lamps with
LED signature.
Other changes on the outside may include revised
bumpers and new design alloy wheels. The interior of the 2018 Hyundai Sonata
has not been seen yet, but not much is expected to change except the trim and
upholstery choices, and perhaps an upgrade to the infotainment system. As for
the changes to the engine line-up, the current 245 2.0-litre turbocharged engine
could be replaced by a more powerful unit with the same displacement.
The 2018 Hyundai Sonata is said to arrive in the
second quarter of 2017.
