Volkswagen India has launched a new top end variant of the new Vento. Apart from the new headlight cluster, there are the new black alloys wheels on offer. Overall, the car does look more sporty.

Mechanically, the special edition variant stays untouched. Powered by a 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine producing 105 PS and a 1.5-litre TDI diesel motor pushing out an identical 105 PS. Both motors are mated to a standard 5-speed manual in the Highline Plus.

Cosmetic add-ons include black roof foil, carbon fibre wraps for the wing mirror caps and black side moulding. The interior features branded door sills, beige carpets and carbon fibre finish for the centre console. It rides on 16 inch alloys and is about INR 80,000 more expensive than the current top-end Vento.

The Vento Highline Plus edition comes with a touchscreen Blaupunkt infotainment system with GPS navigation and detachable window shades for the rear windows. It’s essentially an addition of an accessory package at a discounted rate.

The petrol engine deliveries an ARAI certified mileage of 16.09 km/l while the oil burner is good for 20.64 km/l. The VW Vento Highline Plus variant is available across the country.
