The all-new
Honda Civic hatchback was showcased at the Bangkok International Motor Show
2017. Available only in a single 1.5L Turbo variant, it’s priced at 1.169
million baht.
The new Civic hatchback stands out as a sportier but
less practical version of the Civic 4-door sedan already on sale. It shares the
same width and wheelbase as the 4-door sedan, but is 112 mm shorter in overall
length and 20 mm taller. The hatchback measures 4,518 mm long, 1,798 mm wide,
1,435 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. It features LED headlights with
daytime running lights (DRLs), a twin spoiler setup at the back, LED taillamps,
and dual tone 17-inch alloy wheels.
The hatchback gets an all-black interior with
leather upholstery, power operated driver and passenger seats, dual-zone
climate control, a digital instrument panel, 7-inch touchscreen system with
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reverse parking camera, steering-mounted paddle
shifters, multi-function steering wheel, Honda’s smart key system, cruise
control, and 60:40 split-folding rear seats.
The 1.5L Turbo 4-cyl engine produces 173 PS at 5,500
rpm and 220 Nm of torque from 1,700 to 5,500 rpm. It is paired with an
Earthdreams CVT that sends power to the front wheels.
