The next-generation Audi A6 has been spied in Norway
during testing. It appears the A6 will take the same design path as the new A4, A5
and A8, sporting a wider and flatter look that will no doubt
give it a sportier aesthetic.
The curves of the current-generation car will make
way for more angular lines, in a similar vein to Audi’s most recent models. The wider grille and slimmer headlights are the major differences
from the model on sale today.
However, online speculation suggests the new A6 will
feature an LED strip between the tail-lights, similar to that expected on the
next A8, and also seen on the new TT sports car. The A6
will be offered in both sedan and ‘Avant’ wagon body styles.
Powertrains are unknown at this point, though expect
a mix of four-, six- and eight-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines.
The new A6 isn’t likely to be revealed until some time in 2018.
